Responsibilities & Tasks
•
Implement, improve and maintain the AWP Division Environmental Management System (GEMS), Accident Prevention Programs and Company HSE Road Maps to minimize and eliminate environmental and safety risks and occupational hazards associated with work practices.
•
Proactively manage Company AWP relationships with local governments and the community at large.
•
Prepare recommendations to optimize processes with environmental impacts, especially those involving aqueous or air discharges.
•
Proactively identify risks to the environment, prioritize and mitigate as needed
•
Analyzes and evaluates current safety programs, policies, and practices to ensure they meet all local, state, and national regulatory Requirements.
•
Establishes safety monitoring and occupational health monitoring programs to ensure all activities meet established Requirements. Establishes and maintains plant records for occupational and environmental health and safety including documentation on training and certifications.
•
Performs periodic safety inspections and compliance audits.
•
Establishes standards and methods of measuring environmental, health, and safety performance.
•
Assesses training needs related to safety and occupational health and ensures all employees receive the necessary training to perform work in a safe and legal manner. Coordinates and/or administers training. Ensures that all team members are aware of their environmental, health, and safety responsibilities.
•
Prepares reports including observations, analysis of contaminants, and recommendations for correction. Establishes and maintains effective accident and incident reporting system for all employees.
•
Investigates the adequacy of ventilation, exhaust equipment, lighting and other conditions affecting the health, comfort, efficiency of Team Members.
•
Conducts evaluations of exposure to noise, particles, gases, fumes etc. and recommends measures to ensure maximum employee protection.
•
Investigates accidents and incidents to determine the cause and recommends changes to work practices or equipment to minimize or eliminate future safety risks.
•
Provide education and technical assistance to the process design team to ensure development of safe, low ergonomic risk work.
•
Work with management team to develop safety & health leadership expectations for Managers, Supervisors & Team Leads. Support the development of safety, technical, and operational TM’s to ensure they understand their role and Requirements for HS&E compliance.










Requirements:
1、Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial hygiene, safety, environmental health or equivalent.
2、Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in Environmental and Safety operations.  Minimum of 1 years supervisory experience.
3、Thorough regulatory knowledge (thorough knowledge of environmental laws, transportation, health & safety regulations), experience with behavior based safety and ergonomics preferred.
4、Project management experience
5、Strong quantitative and analytical capability.
6、Proficient in Microsoft Office. Should be familiar with standard laboratory procedures and scientific instruments.
7、Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to read, write and communicate verbally in English.
